Blakelaw – Newcastle upon Tyne MBC – Ben Riley (Labour) resigned, saying he didn't feel welcome in the local Labour Party, due to his close links with former pro-Corbyn councillor David Stockdale. Together, they opened a “socialist Post Office” in Blakelaw in early 2016. He was a councillor since 2014.
