Inverurie & District - Aberdeenshire - Martin Kitts-Hayes (Progressive Independent, elected as Liberal Democrat) resigned. The Council co-leader (and Chair of the Policy and Ressources committee, he left LDs to make a deal with SNP), he was send to attend the North Sea Commission meeting at Legoland in Denmark, but, not satisfied with the cabins they were provided with, left early and asked his assistant to tell no one. This caused a scandal, leading to his resignation. He was a councillor since 2003 (for Chapel and Gadie before 2007).
