Basildon Laindon Park and Fryerns - Essex CC - William Archibald (Labour) died. He was a county councillor for Pitsea from 1973 to 1977, for (Basildon) Fryerns from 1977 to 2005 and for Basildon Laindon Park and Fryerns from 2005 to 2009 and since 2013. He was also a district councillor at various periods, beginning in 1963 and was Basildon Urban District leader between 1971 and 1973. More recently, he was district councillor for Laindon Park from 2002 to 2004 and councillor for Fryerns between 2010 and 2014 (defeated by UKIP).
